Pretty fancy trim work, eh? Kev is quite proud and I'm quite impressed! He also has been working on the trim inside the wayne's coating/shadow boxes. It's a small rope moulding on top of a flat moulding that matches our cabinets. Doors are also newly installed and most all of the moulding is complete... the bay window is all that's left! It's getting closer and closer!

Update!!
I know, I know... I have terrible about posting updates over the last two months, but I'm a teacher - can you really blame me? Plus, work on the house has been little bits and pieces here and there, that it almost isn't worth it until now, when there is lots to see! First, our kitchen! We have about half of the granite finished, and the rest to be finished early next week (minus backsplashes). When that's finished, our cooktop can be installed, which is the only appliance we are still waiting for! Yay! The others were up and running last Thursday evening, including the dishwasher, fridge, oven, and sink with disposal! I totally forgot what life is like with a disposal -- what did they ever do before those things?!? Here are some pics of the kitchen:

Kevin's Bomb-Diggity Colors!
That's right... it's painted! Mario came over today with his crew (shhh, don't tell the bishop) and rocked the house! We went with a light brown called High Noon for the walls and then a special mix for lighter colored ceilings, and all the moulding is Bam-In-Your-Face white! We needed to get most of this painted before the cabinets come in (this week!), even though there is still more molding to be done in the bay window and when the doors come in (next week), so Mario will be back before too long! We are both very pleased with the results... wahoo! (again, try to ignore the dust spots...)

Moulding...
TONS of moulding! Yesterday was quite a busy one. We wouldn't have been able to get as much done as we did without all the help we received from Gary, Rich, and David (and Lyndio for bringing us dinner)! The house now has crown, base board, a shelf on the pot shelf, and a Kevin Halls customized wayne's coating with bead board, shadow boxes, and top/side cap trim. It was a lot of work, and of course, Kevin said he would do it differently if he did it again, but it looks great!
Good teamwork!

Has anyone seen the saw...? Nevermind.

Texture and windows DONE!
Everardo finished the texture! Yay! We are putting bead board on the bottom part, which is why it is not textured there. Take a look!

We also had the stucco around the back windows repaired by adding pop-outs. We did all four back windows so they'd match. They started last week and finished today. Here are pictures through the procress...
During (styrofoam stage):
After... just needs paint!

Tile, and Texture, and Cement... oh my!
Yesterday's events:
Kevin finished ripping up the tile in the front room and as you can see, it was not an easy job.
And, Kevin filled our giant whole with cement. When I came home, I was so interested in the texture that I didn't even notice the cement... and I was even standing on it!
